Work on your "Kill to Death" ratio in online multiplayer matches. This number tracks the relationship between the total number of enemies you've killed versus the total number of times you've been killed. Work on your strategies and make sure you are killing people more often than you are dying. The higher your "Kill to Death" ratio, the higher your rank in online play.
Try to raise your "Win to Lose" ratio in online multiplayer matches. This number tracks the relationship between the total number of games you've won versus the total number you've lost. To count a match as a "Win," you need to place in the top three people during a particular game. The higher your "Win to Lose" ratio, the higher your rank in online play.
Play as many matches online as you can. Part of the ranking system in "SOCOM: Confrontation" rates players based on the total number of games they have completed regardless of whether they've won or lost. The more matches you play, the easier it will be to raise your rank and get promoted while playing the game's online mode.
