How to Talk to the Monumental in Demon's Souls

"Demon's Souls" was released for the PlayStation 3 in 2009. In the game, after you defeat the first boss, the Phalanx, the Maiden in Black will send you to speak to the Monumental in the Nexus. However, the Maiden in Black does not tell you how to find the Monumental, something that has led to confusion in many players. The Monumental is located in the upper sections of the Nexus, amid a gathering of statues of children.

Instructions

- 1
  Walk from the Maiden in Black to the upper level of the Nexus, using the large stairs located at the northern wall of the Nexus.

  Enter the room that has the statues of children lining its walls. This is the only room you can enter on the upper level.

  Walk through the room until you locate the statue that has a candle in front of it, in the center of the room. Except for the candle, this statue looks the same as the others, but in fact it is not a statue at all --- it is the Monumental.

  Stand in front of the Monumental, then press "X" to initiate a conversation with the Monumental.

  Return to the Maiden in Black to complete her quest.
