How to Get the Pirate Hook on Little Big Planet

"Little Big Planet" (LBP) is a side-scrolling platform game with advanced level creation tools that was developed by Media Molecule and released for the Sony PlayStation 3 in 2008. One of the more popular features of LBP is the ability to customize your in-game avatar (Sack Boy) using a wide variety of materials, stickers and outfits. Costume pieces are found in hidden prize bubbles and are given away as rewards. The pirate hook item is attained after completing the First Steps stage without losing a life.

Instructions

  Select the "First Steps" stage from the Stage Select menu. This is the very first stage in the game.

  Progress through the level until you reach a cardboard shoe near a stack of red and white mushrooms.

  Press "Square" to open your Popit menu and select "Stickers" with the "X" button.

  Select the "Rainbow Shoe" sticker and place it onto the cardboard shoe with the "X" button. Stand in front of the gate that falls from the ceiling. When the gate opens, start running to the right as fast as you can.

  Progress through the stage as quickly as you can until you reach the collapsing bridge. Jump and grab the bird using the "R1" button and swing across the bridge. Do not touch the bridge or you will fall into the pit and lose a life.

  Continue to the end of the stage where you will be rewarded with the pirate hook.
