How to Get DTS-HD MA on PS3

Digital Theater Sound -- High Definition Master Audio, or DTS-HD MA, is a type of audio codec found on many Blu-ray home video discs. This uncompressed type of audio track takes advantage of the increased storage space on a Blu-ray to provide crystal clear audio. To listen to the DTS-HD MA tracks on your favorite movies on your PlayStation 3, enable the feature through the console's menu.

      Select "Settings" from your gaming console's main menu.

      Open the "Sound Settings" option.

      Select "Audio Output Settings."

      Choose the "HDMI" option. You can only get DTS master audio soundtracks on your PlayStation 3 if you are using an HDMI cable.

      Select "DTS 5.1 Ch" from the menu on screen. While this screen is open, select any other audio track types you want to be able to experience with your PlayStation 3. Select the "Save" option to save your settings and return to the previous screen.
