How to Set up Hulu Plus on the PS3

HuluPlus is an offshoot of the popular Hulu website. On Hulu, users can watch a variety of television programs online. HuluPlus offers the same programming, but instead of confining viewing to a computer screen, subscribers can watch shows on their television sets. You must have a console, such as the PlayStation 3, to stream this content to your television.

  Turn on the PlayStation 3 and use the controller to select the "TV/Video Services" icon in the main menu.

  Press "X" on the controller to choose the "PlayStation/Video" icon.

  Choose "HuluPlus" in the PlayStation/Video menu. Select it with the "X" button.

  Select "Yes" to install the application. HuluPlus will automatically download and install to the console and then launch on your screen.

  Select "Yes" or "No" when asked if you are already a HuluPlus subscriber. If you are already a subscriber, enter your Hulu email address and password when prompted using the on screen keyboard. If you prefer to activate the PS3 using the activation code, you can do so on you computer.

  Write down the "Device Activation Code" provided on the screen.

  Go to Hulu's website on your computer and select "Sign Up" or "Log In" on the home page if you are not already a HuluPlus subscriber.

  Complete the sign up fields (e.g., email address, password, name and birth date), or enter your email address and password in the log in fields. Then click "Create an Account" or "Log In."

  Select "HuluPlus" and then choose "Try It Now."

  Enter your payment and billing information in the designated fields. Then enter the activation code that you viewed on your PS3. Click "Sign Up." HuluPlus will automatically activate on the PS3.

  Go back to the PS3, select HuluPlus as you did previously and search for a program to watch.
