Turn on your PlayStation 3 video game console and log into your account with your PS3 game controller. From the PS3 login screen, locate your account and press the "X" button on the game controller to open your account.
Scroll across the PS3 login screen and select " Sign in" to connect your PlayStation 3 to the Internet. If you do not have the information saved you will need to enter the email address and password you selected when you created your PS3 online account.
Use the USB ports on your PS3 to connect your PlayStation Eye to the console. A small light will appear on the PlayStation Eye indicating that the camera is connected to your PS3.
Check to make sure your camera is properly interfacing with your PS3. Scroll across the login screen to "Settings" and scroll down to "Accessory Settings." Press "X" on the controller to open "Accessory Settings" and scroll down to "Camera Device Settings." Press "X" on the controller to open the "Camera Device Settings" and you'll see what your camera is seeing at the moment.
Place the PlayStation Eye in front of you on a flat surface. Log into the PlayStation multiplayer game of your choice. Once you have logged into the video game you can begin talking with other players.
