Plug one end of the phone line cord into a phone jack in the wall, and then plug the other end into the phone jack on the back of the modem. This is where the Internet signal enters the modem.

Plug the square end of the USB cable into the back of the modem, and then plug the rectangular end of the USB cable into a USB port on the PS3. The USB cable transfers the Internet signal from the modem to the PS3.

Plug the power cord into the modem, and then plug the electrical prongs into an electrical wall outlet. The modem turns on and starts to power up. Let the modem power up before trying to use the Internet. While the modem is powering up, the lights should blink on and off. Once the lights are constantly lit, the Internet is ready to use on your PS3.
