How to Turn on Mute on Bluetooth in Battlefield: Bad Company 2

The Bluetooth headset allows you to communicate with teammates during an online game of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for the PlayStation 3. However, there may come a time where you need to communicate with a person who is actually in the same room as you and you don't want your teammates to hear. When this happens, you can mute your Bluetooth headset from within the game with the press of a button.

Instructions

  Press the mute button on the side of your Bluetooth headset during an online game, if applicable. Certain Bluetooth headsets come with a mute button on the unit's outer case. If no dedicated mute button is available, use the "Volume -" button on the side of the headset to decrease the volume level until it is at "0."

  Press "Start." Select "Squad." Use the directional stick on your controller to highlight your user name and press "Square." This will mute your Bluetooth headset in the game. The headset itself works, but your audio will no longer be broadcast to other players.

  Mute the Bluetooth headsets of other people by pressing "Start," selecting their name and pressing the "Square" controller button. Other people who are playing the same game will still be able to hear those people. The only difference is that you will be unable to hear the person you have muted.
