How to Have Words Shown Bigger on a PS3

If the PlayStation 3 default screen font is too small for you, just use the controller to change the character size. Once you have re-sized it, the new font size becomes the default: each time you turn on the system thereafter, PS3 displays the size you have chosen.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the PS3 and wait for the main screen to appear. Across the center of the screen runs the Xcross Media Bar that you use to select various PS3 functions. Press the right directional arrow button on the controller to scroll through the Xcross Media Bar choices until you highlight the "Network" option. Under network, scroll downward with the down arrow direction button until you highlight "Internet Browser" and then press the "X" button to confirm your selection.

    • 2

Open the browser window by pressing the "Triangle" button on the controller. Scroll through the options to highlight "View" and then press "X" to select.

    • 3

Highlight "Character Size" and select by pressing "X." This will display a list of font sizes.

    • 4

Scroll through the font sizes and select "+1" to increase the font a single size. If the font is not large enough, select "+2." Decrease the font size by lowering the selection back a step, or selecting "-1" or "-2" for the size. No change greater than 2 is possible in either direction from the default, which allows for a total of five different sizes including the default "0" size.
