Instructions
Press the "Start" button to pause "Grand Theft Auto IV." The game's menu system will load. A full map of Liberty City will appear in the center of your screen, and a series of menu options will appear at the top.
Select "Controls" to modify the way your controller operates while playing the game. You can choose between two control schemes --- the default "Grand Theft Auto IV" control scheme and the one used to play previous games in the series, like "Grand Theft Auto III."
Select "Audio" to modify the way audio is outputted. You can select the type of mix you want to use (Mono, Stereo, Surround) as well as adjust the volume of the game's radio stations, music and sound effects (like gunshots or explosions).
Choose "Video" to modify the way video is displayed by your television set. You can choose to increase or decrease the brightness of the game as well as select the resolution. Choose the resolution that matches your TV. If your TV is a 1080p, for example, choose "1080p" from the menu.
