Instructions
Connect your Mac Mini and your PS3 to your router. Both devices have to be on the same network to stream content from one to the other. Refer to your router̵7;s user guide to learn how to connect your Mac Mini to the router via an Ethernet cable. Select ̶0;Network Settings,̶1; ̶0;Internet Connection,̶1; then ̶0;Internet Connection Settings̶1; from the PS3̵7;s menu. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure the PS3 to link to your router.
Download and install a Mac-compatible media streaming application onto your Mac Mini such as ̶0;PS3 Media Server,̶1; ̶0;MediaLink̶1; or ̶0;EyeConnect.̶1;
Open the ̶0;System Preferences̶1; on your Mac. Click on the icon for your media-streaming application to launch it.
Click the ̶0;Content̶1; button then the Plus icon in ̶0;EyeConnect.̶1; Select ̶0;Sources,̶1; then click the Plus icon in ̶0;MediaLink.̶1; Alternatively, go to the ̶0;Navigation / Share Settings̶1; tab then click the Plus icon in ̶0;PS3 Media Server.̶1;
Browse to select the photo, video and music folders or content you want to stream to the PS3.
Use the arrow buttons on your PS3 controller to navigate to ̶0;Settings̶1; in the PS3 XrossMediaBar. Highlight ̶0;Network Settings̶1; then press ̶0;X̶1; to select it. Select ̶0;Media Server Connection.̶1; Select ̶0;Enable.̶1; The PS3 will automatically detect your Mac Mini̵7;s media server.
Navigate to ̶0;Photo,̶1; ̶0;Music̶1; or ̶0;Video̶1; in the PS3 XrossMediaBar. Highlight and select the listing for your Mac Mini media server. Browse to find the content you want to stream from the Mac Mini to the PS3. Highlight and select it.
