How to Get the Wrecking Yard Achievement in Prototype

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 have incorporated a sort of award incentive program into video games. Called Trophies and Achievements, respectively, they serve to tell other players how deeply you have delved into a game. Each game has different versions of these awards and different ways of earning them. Some Trophies and Achievements are hidden, for example, and appear unexpectedly. One of the Achievements you can earn in "Prototype" is called "Wrecking Yard," and its in-game description is simply "Destroy 2,000 Vehicles."

Instructions

  Play through the game and destroy any vehicles you find. Due to the sandbox nature of the game, vehicles respawn all the time, so there is never any shortage of them.

  Destroy vehicles using any of your abilities. Use Hammerfist or Whipfist to destroy vehicles one at a time. This can prove time-consuming, but is also a way to cause some general mayhem in the game.

  Steal enemy tanks to destroy vehicles. With a tank, you can destroy other vehicles much faster than you can with your fists. Drive over other cars and trucks or fire a cannon round directly into a cluster of vehicles. Once you have destroyed a total of 2,000 vehicles, you get the Wrecking Yard achievement.
