How to Troubleshoot Saved PS3 Bookmarks

The Internet browser on the PlayStation 3 operates similarly to the Web browser on your regular computer. It allows you to access Internet sites with the console and even lets you bookmark certain frequently visited sites for future reference. If one of your bookmarks isn't quite working the way it should you can get to the bottom of the issue by taking a look at your PlayStation 3's settings.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Triangle" button on your PlayStation 3. Select the "View" option and select "Zoom" to zoom in and out on a page. If the information on your bookmarked page appears much too big or much too small, this issue can be fixed by adjusting the zoom of the page within the browser. For text that is too big, zoom out. For text that is too small, zoom in.

Press the "Triangle" button to open the menu and select "Refresh" to reload your bookmarked page. If a box appears asking you to download a plug-in, select "Yes" to download the plug-in. This will make sure that all of the multimedia elements, like audio and video clips, contained on the website will display properly. This information will not display without the associated plug-in.

Exit the PlayStation 3 Internet browser. Select "Settings" and "System Settings" from the PS3 main menu. Select the "Restore Default Settings" option to reset all aspects of your PlayStation 3, including the Internet browser, back to its original settings. This will correct any issues with your bookmarks that were the result of incorrect or incompatible settings selections.
