How to Heal Dogmeat in Fallout 3

Through the game "Fallout 3," you can pick up a series of followers in towns that will help you as you travel the Capital Wasteland. The first of these followers that you can pick up is a roughneck named Dogmeat. As you face monsters out in the wasteland Dogmeat will occasionally get injured in battle. To avoid his death you should take every opportunity to heal him.

Instructions

  Walk up to Dogmeat. Press the "X" button on your PlayStation 3 controller or the "A" button on your Xbox 360 controller to engage in conversation with him.

  Select the "Let's Exchange Equipment" option. This will bring up a screen allowing you to take pieces of equipment you are carrying and give them to Dogmeat.

  Give Dogmeat items that can be used for healing. These items include things like Nuka Colas and Stimpacks. These items will be taken out of your inventory and placed in Dogmeat's possession.

  Select the "Confirm" option. Select the bottom option from the list to stop talking to Dogmeat. Dogmeat will take the medical items you've given him and restore his health.
