I Cannot See Other People's Trophies in Borderlands for the PS3

Check Connection

• The first thing to do is to make sure that your PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet. From the main PS3 control panel, scroll to the "Settings" menu and open the "Network Settings" panel at the bottom. Open "Internet Connection" and select "Enable." Open "Internet Connection Settings" and follow the on-screen directions to test your console's connection. If you are not using Wi-Fi, make sure that an Ethernet cable is firmly plugged into the back of your PS3 with the other end connected to a modem or router. After following the PS3 Internet setup instructions, it will test your connection. If your Internet connection is viable, the test will be a success. If it fails, check the settings on your router or modem. You may need to contact your ISP if no Internet connection is available.

PlayStation Network

• In May of 2011, the PlayStation Network (PSN), Sony's online service for its PS3 users, was attacked by hackers and taken offline for several weeks. After it came back online towards the end of the month, users would need to manually sign in in order to reactivate their accounts. When trying to sign in from the PS3 menu, you will be prompted with a mandatory system update. Download and install it. Afterwards, try signing into the PSN again. Follow the on-screen directions as they walk you through changing your PSN password. After doing this step, you will be able to sign into your PSN account without incident.

Friends List

• Once your console is online and you have an active PSN account, it is a simple matter of opening your Friends list to view their trophies. From the main PS3 menu, scroll all the way to the left. This will display your Friends list if you are signed into the PSN. Scroll down and select the person whose Borderlands trophies you would like to view. Open their profile and click the "Compare Trophies" button. Wait for the trophy sync operation to finish. It may take a minute or two to complete. Afterwards, you will be able to see a list of all games for which your friend has been awarded trophies. Scroll to "Borderlands" and open it to see a list of specific game trophies. If "Borderlands" is not listed, your friend has not played the game and has no trophies for it.

PlayStation Website

• If you are having trouble getting your PS3 online and viewing trophies, you can do so from the PlayStation website on your computer. Access the official PlayStation website, and sign in using your PSN ID and password. At the top of the webpage, your PSN username will appear. Hover your mouse cursor over it to reveal a list of options. Click on "Friends" to see a list of your PSN friends. Click on the username of the person whose trophies you wish to see. This will take you to a list of games. Click on "Borderlands" to view all trophies associated with that title.
