How to Log on to Netflix Through the PS3

Netflix is an online media streaming service that allows you to watch movies and TV shows on the PlayStation 3. Netflix Instant Streaming on the PS3 uses your pre-existing Netflix account and grants you access to your Netflix queue and video preferences. The PS3 Netflix application supports 5.1 audio, 1080p streaming and multiple tracks on any TV show or movie that also supports those features. You can log on to Netflix on the PS3 after installing the Netflix application and entering your Netflix account information.

  Press the "Power" button to turn the PS3 on and press the "PS" button on the center of the controller to turn the controller on.

  Use the directional pad or analog stick on the PS3 controller to scroll to the "Video" tab on the PS3 main menu, or XMB. Press the down button on the directional pad to select the Netflix icon and press the "X" button.

  Select "Yes" when prompted to install the Netflix application. After the installation is complete, the PS3 will restart. Navigate to the Netflix icon under the "Video" tab again. You will be prompted to enter your Netflix account email address and password. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter that information and select "Sign In." If you are not signed into your PSN account, you will be prompted to do so before you can sign in to Netflix.

  Use the directional pad on the PS3 controller to navigate through the various categories and movie offerings on the Netflix main menu. Pressing the "X" button on any video will prompt you to start playing the video. Press the "O" button to return to the Netflix main menu, press the "Pause" button to pause and press "Left" or "Right" to rewind and fast forward.
