How to Get the Street Date for GameStop

GameStop is a North American retailer dedicated to selling video games and related accessories. GameStop locations typically have games and hardware for both the console and computer platforms. The "street date" of a game is the date in which a particular game becomes available to the general public. You can check the street date for any game using GameStop's website.

  Open your Web browser and visit the main GameStop website.

  Search for your game by name on GameStop. If you know the exact title of a game, type it into the "Search" bar at the top of the main GameStop homepage. Click "Search." The street date of the game will be listed next to the words "Release Date" in the "Search" results page that appears on screen.

  Hover your mouse cursor over the name of the console the game was designed for from the top of the GameStop page if you do not know the title. For example, if you want a PlayStation 3 game, hover your cursor over "PS3" at the top of the page. Click "See All Upcoming" to view a list of unreleased games for that system. The street date of a game lists next to the words "Release Date" in the entry for the game on the screen that appears.
