"Final Fantasy XI" (FFXI) was Squaresoft's first foray into the massively multiplayer online role-playing game market and was a major departure from previous games in the Final Fantasy series. The game was originally released for Sony's PlayStation 2, but the backwards compatibility of the PlayStation 3 20 and 60 gigabyte consoles also allows gamers to play FFXI on the newer machine. You can also install any or all of "Final Fantasy XI's" expansion packs onto the PS3's hard drive to access the content in these packs.
