How to Ring or Light Dash in Sonic the Hedgehog for PS3

"Sonic the Hedgehog" was released for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) console in 2007. The game was a 3D installment of the Sonic series of games produced by Sega. One of Sonic's moves, the ring or light dash, allows him to run at high speeds through a series of rings. The move can even be done with rings floating in mid-air. You must purchase the "Light Chip" item upgrade in a shop in the "Town Stage" before you can ring or light dash.

     Collect at least 100 rings during the action stage missions.

     Return to the town stage where Sonic is free to explore the city of Soleanna and visit a shop. Shops are located in various parts of the city.

     Scroll through the items available in the shop and purchase the "Light Chip."

     Enter a mission.

   • 5

     Stand near a set of rings and tap the square button to perform the ring or light dash.
