Instructions
Press the "Start" button to access your computer's Start menu. In Windows 7, the Start menu is labeled with a Windows logo.
Select the "Run" option from within the Start menu. Type "CMD" into the field and press "Enter" to launch the command prompt. In Windows 7, you can access the command prompt by typing "CMD" into the search bar at the bottom of the Start menu and pressing "Enter."
Type "ipconfig" into the command prompt window and press "Enter." Information regarding your specific IP address configuration will be displayed. Find an entry for "Default Gateway" and write down the corresponding IP address.
Exit the command prompt window and open your web browser of choice. Type the IP address from the previous step into the address bar in your web browser and press "Enter" to access your wireless router's administration screen.
Log in to your router's administration console using the user name and password you created during the initial setup of your router. If you do not know the current user name and password, you can try the default login credentials. The default user name is "Admin" and the default password is "Admin."
Click on your wireless router's "Wireless Security" tab and locate the entry for the WEP passcode. Be sure to write the passcode down because it is long and difficult to remember. You can now enter this WEP passcode into your PS3's wireless setup screen.
