Step-by-Step: PS3 Dial Up

While the PlayStation 3 is not designed to work with a dial-up Internet connection, there is a way to get online using your phone modem. Connect your PlayStation 3 console to the Internet by using shared connection with your computer. This slow connection will not allow you to play any multiplayer games online, but it will allow you to download any upgrades that may be needed to run certain games or programs.
