How to Reset a Vizio With No Signal on a PS3

If your Sony Visio is displaying a "No Signal" message on-screen every time you try to play your PlayStation 3 video game console, you have a problem. Luckily, the problem can be resolved by resetting the connection between the television set and the home gaming system. This involves turning everything in your home entertainment system off and turning it all back on in a very specific order. Follow these steps to alleviate this problem.

  Turn off your Vizio TV, your Sony PlayStation 3 and any home theater receiver to which both devices may be connected.

  Turn on your Vizio television set.

  Turn on your home theater receiver, if applicable. Switch your receiver to the input used by the PlayStation 3. For example, if your PlayStation 3 is connected to the receiver via an HDMI cable, press the "HDMI" button on the front of the reciever.

  Turn on your PlayStation 3. With everything turned on in the proper order, the Vizio TV will be able to get a signal from the game console.
