How Do I Deactivate My Brother's Account on My PlayStation 3 & Keep Mine?

The Sony PlayStation 3 game console supports multiple user accounts that have separate friend lists, achievement trophies and profile settings. User accounts also have separate saved files and game settings, so players can keep their own individual progress on game titles. If a user account isn't being used any longer, it can be deleted from the PS3 console from the user account login screen.

Instructions

  Turn on the PS3 console by pressing the power button on the front panel or by pressing the "PS" button on the PS3 controller. The user login screen will appear.

  Use the directional pad to select the user account to be deleted and press the "Triangle" button on the controller. A user account options menu will appear.

  Select "Delete" from the menu and press the "X" button. A confirmation dialog will appear.

  Select "Yes" and press the "X" button to confirm account deletion. The account is now deleted, while the other accounts remain.
