How to Hook Up a PS3 to Playstation Network

The PlayStation Network is Sony's online service for its games consoles. Players can use it to play multi-player games online, as well as to access digital content through the PlayStation Store. To connect your PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation Network, you must be able to physically access the console. Your PlayStation 3 must also be connected to the Internet before you can start the process. The option to activate your console on the PlayStation Network is on the XMB (also known as the XrossMediaBar) menu.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the console and one of the controllers.

    • 2

Scroll through the XMB menu to the PlayStation Network symbol and then select the "Sign In" option.
