How to Install Multiple Themes on PS3 Slim

Like the PSP, the Sony PS3 can have alternative themes installed onto its system that make the PS3 main menu look different than its normal default theme. PS3 theme files are very small, so many themes can be installed onto a Sony PS3 at once. Installing these alternative themes will let you customize your PS3's look to your own specific preferences.

Things You'll Need

USB thumb drive
PS3 theme files (p3t)

Instructions

  Insert the USB thumb drive into your computer's USB input, and download the PS3 themes you would like to install from one of the many PS3 theme websites.

  Create a folder on your USB drive called "PS3" and open that folder. Create another folder inside of that called "THEME."

  Drag all of the PS3 theme files into the "THEME" folder on the USB drive, and eject the USB drive from the computer.

  Insert the USB drive into the PS3, and turn the PS3 on. Select the "Settings" icon on the PS3 main menu, and then choose "Theme Settings."

  Select "Install" from the "Theme Settings." A list will pop up with the themes on the USB drive. Select the theme you want to install from the USB drive and it will be installed. Select a different theme once the theme installation completes to install the multiple PS3 themes you want.
