A wireless router provides the Internet connection to the console, as well as other Internet-capable devices in the home.       Verify that a configured wireless router connects to a broadband modem as per the router's installation procedures.

      Select "Settings" and "Network Settings" from the PS3 system's home menu.

      Choose "Internet Connection Settings" and then "Yes" on the confirmation screen.

      Select "Easy" as the setting method and then "Wireless."

      Select "Scan" to allow the system to search for the access points available. From the SSID list provided following the scan, choose the access point you want to use. The SSID is the name given to the network when it was originally set up.

      Choose the security setting that matches the router security settings. Enter the encryption key when prompted and then save the settings.

      Confirm that the connection settings are correctly set by selecting "Test Connection." The system connects to the Internet when the connection test is done.
