How to Mod a PS3 Gamertag

The gamertag on your PlayStation 3 is a representation of who you are as a gamer. Accessible to anyone with a PlayStation Network account, the gamertag displays your own unique user ID name in all of the various online games that you play. If you want to modify this gamertag, you can do so via the appropriate settings application located on the PS3 console itself.

     Turn on your PS3.

     Open the "PlayStation Network" menu.

     Choose "Sign In" to log into your PSN account. You cannot modify a gamertag if you're not signed in.

     Select "Account Management."

     Highlight and select "Name." Use the PS3 controller to enter your new gamertag on-screen. Press "Start" to change and save your gamertag.
