How to Use PlayStation 3 Voice Chat With a Motorola H680

The PlayStation 3 supports a few different ways to chat with your friends, including voice chat. To participate, all parties involved must have a compatible Bluetooth headset. If you have a Motorola H680 headset and want to get a voice chat session started, you must first pair the headset with the console and then engage in the actual voice chatting.

  Select the PlayStation 3 "Settings" menu option.

  Open "Accessory Settings." Choose "Manage Bluetooth Devices."

  Put your Motorola H680 in "pairing" mode by pressing and holding the button on the side of the unit.

  Select "Register New Device" on your PS3. Highlight the option for your Motorola H680 and press "X" to pair the two devices together. Exit the "Settings" menu and return to the PlayStation 3 main menu.

  Select "Friends" from the main menu. Open the "Start New Chat" option. Select "Voice/Video Chat." You can now speak into the Motorola H680 to communicate with friends on the PlayStation 3.
