How to Find Friends in Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer Mode

When you start a multiplayer game in "Red Dead Redemption" you are immediately dropped into the online world. If you have friends who are playing online at the same time you won't necessarily start the game at the same level. However, you can use the tools provided for you in-game to locate those friends and make contact with them. You can then all explore the world together.

  Place your "Red Dead Redemption" game disc into your gaming console. Allow the disc's main menu to load.

  Select "Multiplayer" from the "Red Dead Redemption" menu.

  Select the multiplayer game mode in which your friends are currently playing. For example, if your friends are playing in the game's "Shootout" multiplayer mode, select that mode to find your friends. Other available multiplayer modes include "Grab the Bag" and "Gold Rush."

  Move your on-screen character in a 360-degree circle. The names of other players in the "Red Dead Redemption" multiplayer mode will appear onscreen in the direction they are currently located, regardless of where they are on the map. When you find the name of the friend for whom you are looking, move in that direction until you reach him.
