The Sony PlayStation 3 introduced a new feature to the series of PlayStation consoles: trophies. These digital trophies commemorate having accomplished certain feats within a PlayStation 3 game, predetermined and encoded into the game by its developer. When you earn a trophy, you get a notification onscreen. Whether you are recording your gameplay on a video camera, or simply wish to play uninterrupted, you can turn off the notifications for the trophies.
