How to Change the Color on the PlayStation Move

The PlayStation Move is a handheld control that allows you to play a number of games that require you to physically move. The orb on the front of the PlayStation move is the sensor which records your movements. This sensor orb has a specific color, which helps distinguish one move controller from another. While there is no settings option to change the color of the orb, there are a number of things you can do to change the color.

  Unplug your PlayStation 3 and move it to a room that has different colored walls. As the PlayStation Move controller is set to a "Pink" setting, move the console to a room that has a similar color on the walls. This will cause the move controller to create a contrast and change to a different color.

  Set up a second move controller on your PS3. The second controller will have a blue orb to help distinguish the two controllers. Play with the second controller to give you a color change.

  Switch the game you are playing on the PS3. While the standard setting is pink, some games change the color of the Move controller to a specific color that relates to the game.
