How to Pick Up Fire Bottles on the PS3

"Red Dead Redemption" was released in 2010 for the PlayStation 3. Set in the year 1911, the game features many historically accurate weapons, such as bolt-action rifles, Schofield revolvers and fire bottles. Fire bottles are a thrown weapon that light the ground and any nearby object on fire. They are given to you during the mission "The Demon Drink," and are required to complete the mission. Picking up a fire bottle in "Red Dead Redemption" follows the same process as picking up any other weapon.

     Walk over the fire bottle to add it to your inventory.

     Hold "L1" to open the "Weapon Wheel."

   • 3

     Highlight the fire bottle with your analog stick and release "L1" to equip it.

   • 4

     Hold the "L2" button to aim the fire bottle. The fire bottle will travel in an arc when thrown.

   • 5

     Press "R2" to throw the fire bottle. It will burn any enemy or structure it lands on.
