How to Use Two PS3's on One Wireless Modem

The name "wireless modem" is a misnomer -- the device is really a modem and wireless router combined into one device. Because of this, you can connect as many devices as you want to the wireless modem and have them all access the Web. For example, if you have two PlayStation 3 consoles in your home they can each connect separately to the same modem at the same time.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on each PlayStation 3 you are trying to connect to the wireless modem.

    • 2

Select "Settings" on the menu of each of the two PS3s you are trying to connect.

    • 3

Choose "Network Settings" on each of the two PS3 consoles.

    • 4

Open the "Internet Connection Settings" window on each of the two PlayStation 3 consoles.

    • 5

Choose "Easy" setup on your first PlayStation 3. Select "Wireless" and choose the listing for the wireless modem. Select the wireless modem's security type and input the password, if applicable. Repeat this step on the second PlayStation 3 to get that console online as well.
