How to Find the DNS Address for a PS3

Connecting the Sony PS3 to the Internet enhances the gaming experience by enabling you to play opponents online. If your Internet connection occasionally fails, however, it may be because of issues with your DNS address. Start your troubleshooting process by checking your DNS address.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "PS" button on the remote controller to bring up the XMB Home Screen, or main menu, on the monitor.

    • 2

Select "Settings," then "Network Settings" and "Internet Connection Settings." Select "Yes" on the confirmation screen that follows. Then select "Custom."

    • 3

Navigate to "DNS Setting." Select "Automatic." The DNS address will be displayed.
