How to Pair a BlueAnt Z9i & a PlayStation 3

The Sony PlayStation 3 features an Ethernet connection, as well as an integrated 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi adapter designed for networked Internet game play. Connecting a compatible Bluetooth to the PS3 allows players to engage in voice communication with others during a game play session. The BlueAnt Z9i Bluetooth headset features voice isolation technology, removable ear buds and memory for up to five paired devices. Pairing the BlueAnt Z9i to the PS3 is an easy task that only takes a couple minutes to perform.

  Charge the BlueAnt Z9i's internal battery by connecting the supplied AC adapter to the small USB port, located behind the ear bud. Disconnect the AC adapter from the headset's USB port when the red LED shuts off.

  Turn on the PlayStation 3 and navigate to the "Settings" menu. Scroll down to the "Accessory Settings" menu and press the "X" button on the game pad.

  Highlight "Manage Bluetooth Devices" and press the "X" button.

  Hold the "Ant" button on the Z9i for approximately six seconds or until the LED starts flashing.

  Choose the "Register New Device" PS3 menu option, followed by "Start Scanning."

  Choose the appropriate Bluetooth headset discovered and displayed on the screen. When prompted for a passkey, enter "0000" using the game pad. Press the "Start" button to finish the pairing process.
