How to Sync PC Music to a PS3

Syncing a PC to your Sony PlayStation 3, PS3, allows you to open a variety of media files on your PS3. Rather than sending each file from the PC to the PS3, you can sync your PC to the PS3 by creating a link that allows the music files to be played instantly on your PS3 while still being stored on the hard drive of your PC.

Instructions

      Double-click the "Windows Media Player" icon on your desktop with your left-hand mouse button.

      Select the "Library" option on your media player, and then choose "Media Sharing."

      Select "Share Media." Locate the device name for your PS3, and choose "Allow." Click "OK" to confirm the changes.

      Turn on your PS3. Navigate to the "Media" option on your PS3 dashboard, and select "Music."

      Choose the desired music file. Highlight the music file, and press the "X" button on the PS3 controller. The music now plays on your PS3.
