How to Transfer PS1 Classics With a Memory Stick

"PSOne Classics" are a line of games designed for the original PlayStation that have been made available via the PlayStation Network to owners of the PlayStation 3 and Sony PSP game consoles. These games are completely digital downloads and do not come on discs like their original incarnations. You can transfer PSOne Classic titles to a memory stick for archival purposes.

      Connect your memory stick to your PlayStation 3. If all PS3 USB ports are being used by devices (for example, by the USB controller cables), unplug a device cable and plug in the memory stick.

      Select "Settings."

      Open "System Settings."

      Choose "Backup Utility." Select "Back Up." Choose the name of the PSOne Classic title that you want to back up to the memory stick, and select the memory stick as the destination for the backup. The PSOne Classic title will be copied to the memory stick.
