How to Upload an iPod to a PS3

A common staple of any video game is background music. Many users are able to upload their own music to their video game console to listen to while they're playing video games. One of the most widely used personal audio players is the iPod. If you have an iPod, it is likely that this where most, if not all, of your music is stored. The good thing is that you easily can upload music files from your iPod to your Sony PlayStation 3, PS3, in a few simple steps.

Instructions

      Turn on your PS3 and go to the "Settings" menu.

      Connect your iPod to your PS3 with the USB cable that came with your iPod. Plug one end into your iPod and the other into the USB port on your PS3. The iPod automatically synchronizes with your PS3 once it is connected.

      Scroll over to "Music" on your PS3 "Settings" menu, and then scroll down to "USB Device (iPod)," Press the triangle button on your PS3 controller.

      Click the "Display All" option on the right side of the screen.

      Scroll down and select "iPod Control," and then select "Music." Music folders from your iPod are listed on the screen and are named F01, F02, F03, etc, etc.

      Select a folder, and then press triangle on your controller.

      Select the "Copy Multiple" option to copy the songs in the folder to your PS3. Press the circle button on your controller to go back to folders list once the files are copied. The files are saved to your "Music" folder. If you don't want to transfer the songs to your PS3, you can listen to them while your iPod is connected.

      Click on one of the folders to see the songs that are in that folder.

      Select one of the songs. and press "X" on your controller to play the song.
