How to Get Pure Black on World Tendency

"Demon's Souls" is a PlayStation 3 game released in 2009. One feature hardcore players find useful is World Tendency; this influences how difficult enemies are to defeat and the value of the equipment dropped when defeating a boss. It ranges from Pure White through White, Neutral and Black to Pure Black. Pure Black maximizes an enemy's health, attack and defense while your own health is decreased. As with any level of World Tendency, you must follow a specific sequence of events to change it to Pure Black.

Instructions

- 1
  Get your character into his body form. The only way to do this is by killing a boss in any of the worlds.

  Commit suicide outside of the Nexus. If your character dies in body form while in the Nexus, you will reincarnate into soul form but World Tendency will not change. Dying outside of the Nexus decreases World Tendency by one point, bringing you closer to Pure Black.

  Defeat Old King Doran. Travel to World 1-1 (the Mausoleum) and play through until you reach Doran. Defeat him to drop World Tendency by two points.

  Commit suicide outside of the Nexus again to drop one more point.

  Repeat Steps 1 through 4 until World Tendency is Pure Black. Pause the game and select the "World Tendency" tab. When the Archstone is completely colored in black, you are Pure Black.
