      Buy a video input card with an HDMI input and a USB output.

      Connect your PS3 HDMI cable to the HDMI input on your video input card. Plug the other end of the video input card into the USB port on your laptop.

      Hold the power button on your PS3 console for approximately five seconds while in the off position. The PS3 will try to recognize the new laptop screen as its main source of video. It will also try to adjust the resolution to best suit your laptop screen.
