  Connect your PS3 to your high-speed modem using an Ethernet cable. The cable port is labeled "LAN" on both the modem and the PS3.

  Scroll to the "Settings" menu on the Xross Media Bar. Select "Network Settings," then "Internet Connection" and finally "Enable."

  Open the "Internet Connection Settings" menu. Select "Yes" to continue.

  Choose the "Easy" setting method. When given the choice between establishing a wireless or wired connection, select "Wired."

  Review the network connection information displayed on the screen. Press "X" to confirm your Internet connection. Wait for the console test to detect and connect to your network.
