How to Transfer Music From My iPod Touch to My PlayStation 3

The PlayStation 3, commonly referred to PS3, is not only a game console; it is a multimedia device that is capable of playing video, music and displaying photos. The PS3 can read music formatted in MP3, ATRAC and AAC music files. The iPod also stores MP3-formatted music, making the files stored on the iPod compatible with the PS3. To listen to your iPod music on a broader scale, copy the music to your PS3 so you can listen to the songs through your television or stereo speaker system.

Insert the USB into the iPod's dock connector. Connect the other end of the iPod's USB cable into the PS3's USB port, which is located on the front of the console.

    • 2

Turn on the PS3, and select the "Music" icon from the XMB home menu.

    • 3

Highlight "Removable Media," and press the "Triangle" button on the remote control to open its menu.

    • 4

Choose "Display All," and the PS3 reads and displays all of your iPod's music. Use the directional arrows on the remote control to scroll through the list and find a song you want to copy from your iPod.
