How to Do God Of War 3 on QuickTime

"God of War 3" was released for the PlayStation 3 in 2010. An action game, God of War 3 uses many Quicktime Events, or QTEs, during game-play. A Quicktime Event can be described as an interactive cutscene. Buttons will flash during the cutscene, and success or failure depends on the player pushing the right buttons when they are displayed. Failing a QTE result in injury or death for your character, and understanding how to properly do a QTE is necessary to finishing the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Attack an enemy until a button icon appears over the head. For example, when attacking a minotaur, a "Triangle" appears over its head when badly hurt.

    • 2

Approach the enemy and press the button that is displayed over it. For example, you would press "Triangle" when next to the minotaur. This begins a Quicktime Event.

    • 3

Press the buttons as they display on screen to defeat the enemy. For example, the minotaur Quicktime Event displays the buttons "Circle" followed by "Square." Pressing these buttons on your controller as they appear completes the QTE and defeats your foe.
