Computer Speakers with RCA Inputs
Check to see if your computer speakers support RCA input.
Look at the rear of the speakers for two small plugs; a white one and a red one.
Connect your PS3's composite cables to the rear of the speakers if they support RCA input.
Computer Speakers Without RCA Inputs
Connect the 2 RCA couplers to the white and red plugs on the PS3 composite cable.
Connect the RCA to 3.5mm cable to the other end of the couplers, matching the RCA ends white to white and red to red again.
Attach the 3.5mm coupler to the end of the RCA to 3.5mm cable.
Find the cord coming out of the rear of the speakers that is meant to plug into the computer (this cord will generally have a green plug on the end of it) and attach it to the open end of the 3.5mm coupler.
Adjusting the PS3 Audio Output Settings
Turn the on the PS3 and wait for the cross menu bar (XMB) to load.
Scroll left to the 'Settings' tab and select the 'Sound Settings' option.
Select the 'Audio Output Settings' option and press the X button.
Select the 'Audio Input Connector / SCART/ AV MULTI' option and press the X button.
Press the X button one more time to finalize the process. The PS3 audio will now come through the computer speakers.
