How to Setup Your PS3's Wireless Modem

The PS3 includes a built in wireless adapter that connects to your wireless Internet network. An Internet-connected PS3 has access to the PlayStation Network, which is the PS3's free matchmaking service for multiplayer games. In addition to multiplayer games, the PlayStation Network also houses Netflix, downloadable content such as games and game demos and chat utilities like voice and video. Depending on the layout of your home and quality of your router, wireless connections are susceptible to slow speeds and the occasional disconnection.

Instructions

    • 1

Scroll to the "Settings" icon on the PS3 menu. Select "Network Settings." Scroll down to "Internet Connection" and select "Enabled." Scroll down to Internet Connection Settings and select "Wireless."
