How to Upload Music From a Phone to PS3

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) entertainment console is a multimedia device that allows you to upload music and videos, download games and transfer files between device. Since the PS3 includes an internal hard drive, content can be stored and transferred using a USB connector cable from any device with USB capabilities. PS3 music files that can be played are MP3, MP4, WAVE and WMA files.

Instructions

  Turn on your PS3 console and connect your phone into the 2.0 USB port on the PS3. Wait a couple of seconds for the console to recognize the external device.

  Scroll over to the "Music" icon the PS3 main menu. Select the "USB" option and select your phone from the list.

  Browse through the list of compatible music files on your phone. Scroll over the music file you wish to upload and press the "Triangle" button on your PS3 controller to pull up the options menu. Select "Copy"

  Wait for the message "Transfer complete" to appear. Repeat the process for the other music files you wish to transfer.
