How to Get Friends on PSN

The PlayStation Network (PSN) is the online service associated with Sony's PlayStation 3 games console. You can add friends to your PSN account and stay in touch with them via messages and voice communications. This makes it easier to play multi-player games with them. You must know a person's online ID to add him to your PSN friends list. This is the name displayed by the player in online games. Your console must be connected to the Internet.

     Turn on your console and scroll right on the XMB menu to the "Friends" section.

     Scroll to "Add a Friend" and press "X."

     Highlight the "To" field on the "Request to Add a Friend" message and press "X."

     Press "X" again and use the controller to navigate the virtual keyboard. Enter your friend's online ID, and press "Enter" and "OK."

     Press the "Send" button at the bottom of the message.

     Wait for your friend to accept the request.
