How to Tell If Firmware Is Up to Date

The PlayStation 3 was released in the United States in 2006. Since then, the PS3's operating system has seen many firmware updates. When new firmware is released, it brings with it new features, bug fixes and and improvements to existing features. The firmware updates are downloaded from the Internet directly to your PS3. As new firmware is added on a regular basis, making sure you have the most up to date firmware is essential for you to get the most out of your PS3.

Instructions
