How to Unlock the Solar Gun in MGS4

The Solar Gun in "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" is unlocked when you retrieve the FROG trooper statue and the four beauty statues after defeating the corresponding boss with tranquilizer weapons. The beauty statues can only be retrieved during the beauty battle phase of the boss encounter, immediately after you have defeated their beast form. Complete the game after you have all of the statues to unlock the Solar Gun when you start a new game.

Instructions

- 1
  Defeat the FROG soldiers in the Advent Palace firefight in the first act with tranquilizer weapons. Pick up the FROG trooper statue by the door, near the tire in the garage after the fight.

  Beat Laughing Octopus in her beast form with a tranquilizer weapon. Find her statue on a bed in the northeast room of the building.

  Win the fight against Raging Raven's beast form with tranquilizer weapons. Retrieve her statue from the balcony on the top floor of the tower.

  Defeat Crying Wolf in her beast form with a tranquilizer weapon. Pick up the statue towards the wall behind Snake when Crying Wolf's beauty battle phase begins.

  Beat Screaming Mantis in her beast form with the doll you retrieve from her right hand. Pick up her statue from the northern door in the Command Centre.
