How to Make Memory Cards

The Sony PlayStation 3 has a number of backwards compatibility options, including the ability to play and save original PlayStation games. However, unlike the two predecessor consoles, the PlayStation 3 does not have slots to insert memory cards. This can ultimately lead to confusion when you want to save your game. To bypass errors, you must set up a virtual memory card.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the PlayStation 3 and select "Memory Card Utility," located under the "Game" menu.

    • 2

Select "Internal Memory Card" in the menu that appears.

    • 3

Select "Internal Memory Card (PS)" in the menu.

    • 4

Select "Slot 1" in the menu to finalize creating the memory card.
